INFORMATION ABOUT THE COLOUR
GROUP INCLUDING THE OFFICERS |
The Colour Group, founded in 1940, is an interdisciplinary society that draws together those concerned with different aspects of colour - its measurement, reproduction and perception. Monthly meetings are held, mostly in London, usually from October to May and provide a unique forum for the exchange of information and contacts. Our current program is available on this site but to find out more about the Group's activities, you should become a member of the Group, and receive our Newsletter. This carries notices of meetings, reports of papers given at meetings, as well as news of other developments in the world of colour. The Committee welcomes new applications for membership . The annual subscription is; £15.00 pounds sterling.
Although we welcome members from other countries, if you do not live in Great Britain you might find it useful to join the corresponding group in your own country. The Colour Group is a member of the AIC (International Association of Colour), and you may find the address of an organisation nearer home.
The Group has no permanent headquarters or staff and is entirely a voluntary (non-commercial) organization. It is a Registered Charity (No. 1047548). You can read our Articles of Association and Memorandum on this site
You can find a list of meetings held since 1991 on this site, also lists of WDW Award winners, Newton Lecturers and Turner lecturers
