The meeting will be a discussion of aspects of colour and design and its use in a woven tapestry context.
All the artists employ a Weaving Loom with warp (the threads on a loom over and under which other threads [the weft] are passed to make cloth).
The technical format is very similar in each persons work, from here they creatively move into very different realms as art and design.
This is an ancient technology used in a modern context.
All the artists use coloured yarn, a spun form of fibre, natural and synthetic, in different ways.
Each artist will tell their story of the How & Why & Where of using colour as a form of narrative interwoven in their work.
