PATRON MEMBER PROFILE |
CAMBRIDGE RESEARCH SYSTEMS Ltd
Cambridge Research Systems was
founded by Professor John Robson FRS and his son, Tom Robson, to design
and manufacture equipment for vision scientists. We have now been
supplying Visual Stimulus Generators (VSG) for over 20 years, and previous VSGs in our range have been used in literally thousands of experimental systems.

But CRS don’t just make the VSG…
-
We have an extensive range of our own calibration equipment,
behavioural response boxes, binocular and stereo vision accessories,
luminance and colour vision tests and a comprehensive collection of
eyetrackers.
-
MRI-Live! is our integrated video display and eyetracker for fMRI that
was developed as part of a European consortium of ten universities and
institutions on the “Decisions in Motion” project. Its
novel design incorporates a unique combination of technologies to
provide the ultimate tool for human brain mapping.

As a separate business unit, Harding FPA (Harding Flash and Pattern
Analyser) is a system that has become the standard for the UK Broadcast
industry to inspect television content for patterns consistent with
causing epileptic seizures. www.hardingfpa.com
Supporting our Customers…
CRS are committed to supporting their
customers and we do so in many ways. Our experienced and knowledgeable
sales and support team ensure that our customers always get the ideal
equipment for their experiment and are able to get the very best
results from it.
We attend academic meetings
worldwide, such as those given by the Colour Group, to keep in touch
with our customers - our ideas come as a result of hearing the
difficulties our customers face in their research. See our
meetings calendar at www.crsltd.com/meetings

Our website is continually updated
with the latest news from the vision science community as well as
research topics from many distinguished vision scientists. You may have
seen us over the past few years recording lectures at Colour Group
meetings, such as those by David Brainard (2006) and Qasim Zaidi
(2007), which are available to watch again with slides and audio on our
website, or Mike Webster (2008) whose lecture will be coming to our
site very soon. www.crsltd.com/research
We also keep in touch with our
customers via our quarterly e-newsletter. From lectures and research to
news stories and events, it’s our business to be up to date and
our newsletter is our way of sharing the ideas we’ve spotted with
our customers, collaborators and the wider scientific community. You
