David Batchelor ­ - Colour , a discussion.  David Batchelor, Senior Tutor in Critical Theory, Dept of Curating  Contemporary Art, Royal College of Art and editor of ‘Colour’, the latest in the Whitechapel’s Documents of Contemporary Art series, reflects on the aesthetic, cultural and philosophical meaning of colour through the writings of artists and critics.  At the Whitechapel Art Gallery, Thursday 17 April, 19.00 hrs  Web link is here

At 14.30 hrs (open to all) Alun Foster  talked on  The manufacture of Rose Madder pigment by Winsor &Newton , followed by the Granville Tea which was followed by Victoria Finlay who delivered a lecture called Travels Through the Palette
