The Colour Group (Great Britain), founded in 1940, is an interdisciplinary society that draws together people interested in all aspects of colour – its perception, measurement, reproduction and artistic expression.
Monthly meetings are held, mostly in London, usually from October to May and provide a unique forum for the exchange of information and contacts. Our current programme is available on this site but to find out more about the Group’s activities, you should become a member of the Group, and receive Members Notifications of events and other matters of colourful interest. This carries notices of meetings, reports of papers given at meetings, as well as news of other developments in the world of colour. The Committee welcomes new applications for membership. The annual subscription is £20.00 GBP.
Although we welcome members from other countries, if you do not live in Great Britain you might find it useful to join the corresponding group in your own country. The Colour Group is a member of the AIC (International Association of Colour), and you may find the address of an organisation nearer home.
The Group has no permanent headquarters or staff and is entirely a voluntary (non-commercial) organisation. It is a Registered Charity (No. 1047548) and a registered Company (No. 707804 England).
